I recently came across this graphic of the global water crisis. I think it's a great visual of what's really going on with water and the lack of it.

Who is My Neighbor
Who Is My Neighbor by Steve Moore is a book based on the Bible story in the book of Luke about the good Samaritan. This book greatly influenced a message I recently gave at my church. It comes with access to a corresponding website that includes helpful videos and even an online assessment tool that will help you discover your passion and give you direction in how to get involved in serving others and making the world a better place by developing relationships with people who are not like you.
This book is a great read for those wrestling with how to respond to the needs of the global neighborhood we share. What I enjoyed about this book is how the author takes the fire hydrant of information about the needs of others and turns it into a manageable stream leading to compassionate action.

Forces for Good
In their book Forces for Good, Leslie R. Crutchfield and Heather McLeod Grant put together a great resource by compiling thorough research of twelve high-impact non-profits in the country. Bridges Out of Poverty
When I read, I'm one of those people that marks up their book, dog-ears the pages, and underlines the things I want to remember. This book Bridges out of Poverty was so helpful and educational for me I think I've underlined more of the book than what I left alone. If you are serving people of any age that are in or have grown up in poverty this book is a must read!

Uganda Man
During our most recent trip to Uganda we shot a documentary film. It was quite the undertaking! The one hour film tells the story of the people of Rushere as well as explains what the Friends of Uganda initiative is all about. Yesterday I got to preview the latest version and it so beautiful, moving and amazing! This film project is just incredible and does a great job of telling the story of what God is doing in Rushere.
The Uganda Man trailer will be posted here soon.
