I have been home one full week and I still am not sure what to make of my recent trip to Haiti with Living Water International. It was amazing, shocking, frustrating and at times even maddening.
Amazing:
Repairing nine water wells
Providing clean water to 10,000 Haitians!
God at work around the world
The simplicity of water and it's complexity to all other community development
Shocking:
Children playing with condoms as if balloons
Naked children
Such a wide scope of poverty...it seemed to be everywhere, not centralized or just in a few areas
Worst mortality rate of anywhere in the world
Post earthquake life expectancy is 29
No natural resources
